Byrne Pelofsky is proud to align with Strategic Partners such as Green Oak Consulting, to ensure our clients have extended access to specialized expertise and services.

Since 1986, Mr. McMorran has provided fund development, endowment, planned giving and management services, including investment and administrative support, to charitable organizations under the name of Green Oak Consulting Group and Green Oak Charitable Administrators, LLC. He also works with many charities in strategic planning, fund development, risk management and long-term care.

Prior to this, he was responsible for all aspects of developing a new prepaid health plan (HMO) under a Medicare demonstration project, the SCAN Health Plan in Long Beach, CA. Bill began his career working for 10 years at AARP in Washington DC where he established and built AARP’s TAX-AIDE and Health Advocacy Programs. He represented the healthcare and tax needs of older persons to appropriate agencies and Congress while interpreting tax and health policy to AARP members. He contracted with IRS to fund a 20,000 person, national volunteer network that continues to serve over 2 million persons annually.

Published articles include: Healthcare Forum; National Journal; Modern Maturity; Men’s Fitness (Contributing Editor); Contemporary Long-Term Care and many other publications. Served as a speaker for groups nationwide including White House conferences; Leading Age; American Dental Association; AHP and AIRI.

Bill is a member of the national Partnership for Philanthropic Planning (PPP now CGP), serving as the Chair, PPPLA Membership Committee and Board Member in 2013-2014. Bill is also a member of the Presbytery of the Pacific, having worked with its Administration and Investment Committees for several years. As a Board Member of the Southern California Association for Healthcare Development (SCAHD), as a Faculty Member of the Institute for Senior Living, Leading Age of California and Leading Age, National. Bill continues to work in meeting the needs of older persons.

Bill is a graduate of the Hotchkiss School, Lakeville, CT, Princeton University, Princeton NJ and Princeton Theological Seminary.
