Bishop Spencer Place
Bishop Spencer Place opened its doors in December 1995 as a faith-based, Continuing Care Retirement Community for persons seeking retirement care and health services in a life-engaging, secure and family-oriented environment. Today, Bishop Spencer Place residents thrive, energized by the cultural activities and conveniences Kansas City has to offer, just minutes from their front door. It is a vibrant community of spacious apartments, modern amenities, diverse programs, excellent staff and comprehensive healthcare – all guided by the highest standards of quality.
Jeffrey Byrne + Associates is proud to have partnered with Bishop Spencer Place in 2002 for a successful $6 million campaign to expand its community and develop York Place, a skilled nursing and rehabilitation addition.
The major campus expansion included new construction of an eight-story apartment building with 120 new residences, a redesign of the current assisted living and nursing areas and the addition of a memory-support suite.
Bishop Spencer Place will endure as a result of its successful capital campaign, which not only transformed its campus, but transformed the community as well. Bishop Spencer Place continues to serve as the exceptional retirement community in the heart of Kansas City.
