Client Success Story: Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare Breaks Ground on New Radiation Oncology Center in Central Missouri

Byrne Pelofsky is proud to announce that our client, Golden Valley Memorial Healthcare, broke ground on a new, state-of-the-art radiation oncology facility in December 2022. The $14,000,000 facility will be constructed on the GVMH main campus in Clinton, Missouri, and is scheduled for completion in one year.

The 18-month campaign raised over $7,000,000, surpassing the initial $6,000,000 fundraising goal.  By incorporating a strategic public/private funding strategy, the GVMH Foundation and Byrne Pelofsky were able to establish fundraising momentum very quickly. By leveraging $1,500,000 in State and County funding and strong community and physician support, the dream of robust cancer treatment services in rural Missouri is now a reality. The hospital diagnoses nearly one new patient with cancer daily. Those patients and others in the area will now be able to receive life-saving, critical cancer care without the burden of traveling long distances. The facility will house a cutting-edge linear accelerator used to target and treat tumors to within a fraction of a millimeter with enhanced speed and accuracy.

Sarah Duncan, GVMH Foundation Director, led the project for GVMH. “Byrne Pelofsky was an excellent partner is this major fundraising campaign for GVMH,” says Duncan. “Their guidance around public/private fundraising and insights into major gift cultivation and solicitation strategies were essential to our success. Their work with us has brought a vital service to Clinton and the surrounding communities.”
