Client Success Story: KC Kosher Meals on Wheels Funds Growth with Mabee Foundation Grant

When KC Kosher Meals on Wheels became engaged with Byrne Pelofsky, the pandemic was pushing their services to areas not seen before.  The organization needed to quickly accelerate their existing campaign to expand their facility to reach seniors, disabled and special needs home-bound individuals with critical meals each week.  The Mabee Foundation recently awarded them with a $250,000 challenge grant allowing them to move closer to serving their growing list of clients.

The KC Kosher Meals on Wheels program is part of the Gan Chabad Torah Learning Center and provides multiple programs to help meet the spiritual and material needs of the Kansas City Jewish community including camps, educational events and personal counseling.  The KC Kosher Meals on Wheels program is in its 7th year of operation and is serving over 20,000 meals annually. This campaign will add kitchen facilities, storage facilities, classrooms, offices and a small library.

Byrne Pelofsky is delighted to have helped move this vitally important service forward to help feed the vulnerable members of our community during such trying times.
