Grace earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana with a major in Communication and a minor in Spanish Language. At DePauw, Grace found her love for philanthropic studies while founding a university fundraising program for the local children’s hospital in addition to a chapter of international women and girls education program.

Following her graduation, Grace has worked professionally in the nonprofit industry for 5 years with a focus on underserved and underrepresented populations. She has led teams and organizations through unprecedented growth, strategic planning, and relationship-centered fundraising. Grace’s primary fundraising experience is in event fundraising and execution, inclusive grassroot campaigns, comprehensive campaign management, and major donor pipeline development.

Valuing ethics, diversity, and vulnerability, Grace brings a strategic and thoughtful approach to any team and project. Grace thrives when working with a fast-paced, mission-centered group of individuals striving to reach audacious goals through hard work, strong leadership, and innovation.

She is currently enrolled in the Lilly School of Philanthropy in the MA and certification programs and will finish the program with a focus in nonprofit leadership in December of 2021. This program has challenged Grace to develop an understanding of the social, cultural, political, and economic roles played by philanthropy and nonprofit organizations, and facilitates. Through the program Grace has gained experience in understanding and applying cutting-edge research and developing critical thinking skills about the complex issues confronting philanthropy.

Committed to education and appetite for continuous learning and application of best practices, Grace earned her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) Certification, accredited in April of 2021. Individuals granted the CFRE credential have met a series of standards set by CFRE International which include tenure in the profession, education, and demonstrated fundraising achievement for not-for-profit organizations including a rigorous written examination testing the knowledge, skills, and abilities required of a fundraising executive.

Passionate about adventure, advocacy, and authenticity; Grace is always seeking new people to meet, community engagement opportunities, and book recommendations. Proudly having read over 60 books in 2021, she is currently enjoying Between the World and Me and eagerly awaiting the release of Brene Brown’s next book. On her nightstand you will find 6 pairs of bright colored glasses, a notepad for late night creativity and thoughts, at least 3 books, and a marked up map of America’s National Parks.
