Celebrating National Girls & Women in Sports Day 2024!

Jan 24, 2024

National Girls & Women in Sports Day (NGWSD) is just around the corner, and on February 7, 2024, we invite you to join the Women’s Sports Foundation in celebrating this vibrant movement. NGWSD is an annual event dedicated to honoring the achievements of girls and women in sports, recognizing the transformative power of athletics in unlocking limitless potential.

This year, communities across the nation are coming together to host various events in conjunction with the NGWSD celebration. Whether in person or virtual, these events aim to highlight the importance of sports in empowering and inspiring girls and women of all ages.

NGWSD is more than just a day of festivities; it’s a tribute to student-athletes, champion athletes, coaches, administrators, and lawmakers who are dedicated to providing equitable access to sports for all girls and women. It’s a call to action to Lead Her Forward and recognize the impact that sports can have on shaping lives.

The Women’s Sports Foundation encourages everyone to participate and make their voices heard. As we celebrate NGWSD on February 7, 2024, let’s take a moment to appreciate the 48 events taking place across the nation, including six virtual gatherings. The Women’s Sports Foundation is set to make National Girls & Women in Sports Day 2024 a memorable celebration of empowerment, achievement, and equality in sports. Byrne Pelofsky is proud to work alongside the Women’s Sports Foundation to expand advocacy efforts, sport access and programs for underserved girls and women.
