Byrne Pelofsky is proud to announce that our client, the Kansas City, MO (KCMO) Health Department, received a $7,100,000 Public Health Infrastructure grant from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control & Prevention. The grant will be used to strengthen the Health Department’s efforts to improve prevention, preparedness, and response to ongoing health challenges.
Submitted and written in partnership Byrne Pelofsky staff and led by Lisa Roush Morse, Vice President, the competitive grant comes from the CDC’s Surveillance, Epidemiology, and Laboratory Services and was established to strengthen the U.S. public health infrastructure, workforce and data systems.
The KCMO Health Department will use the funding to improve internal workforce capacity and install internal technology improvements including an online portal and mobile app to better serve the community, healthcare partners and staff.
