By August 29, 2023Uncategorized

Byrne Pelofsky would like to congratulate Karen Dolt, Chief Executive Officer of Northland Health Care Access and Byrne Pelofsky client, as a Kansas City Community Champion as part of 816 Day.  This annual celebration takes place on August 16 (8/16) and is a nod to Kansas City’s 816 telephone area code. It was established in 2018 by then-mayor Sly James. The event celebrates all things Kansas City and features several concerts and special events. Nominated by 1st District Councilmember Kevin O’Neal, Dolt received the Community Champion award for 2023 alongside 13 other community leaders.

Northland Health Care Access (NHCA) provides an array of programming and healthcare services to the  residents of North Kansas City (Clay and Platte Counties) who are underinsured, uninsured and those who may be experiencing economic difficulties. NHCA is a valued and long-term Byrne Pelofsky client.

Dolt has led the organization for 17 years. She is a true champion for Kansas City and has built a volunteer network of 140 health care providers who donate primary care for the uninsured. Karen is someone who lives and breathes their Kansas City pride, puts in the work to build up local communities, and represents everything that makes Kansas City great. Congratulations, Karen!
